Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and/or group therapy sessions to address academic challenges.
Implement evidence-based academic interventions for students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties.
Develop and teach executive functioning skills to help students improve organization, time management, and study strategies.
Design and implement interventions focused on teaching children effective learning and academic strategies.
Provide individual assessment, evaluation, therapy, and management of clients.
Conduct school or home visits as required.
Provide written reports, email feedback, goal planning sheets, and home programs.
Prepare and maintain up-to-date, thorough, and legible documentation of each session with clients.
Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting therapeutic strategies as needed.
Establish and maintain regular, good communication/rapport with caregivers and teachers.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
Stay current with best practices and research in educational therapy and special education.
Qualifications and Traits
At least a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology,
Applicants for Senior position should possess at least 5 years of experience in educational therapy or a similar role.
Registration with RETA (Register of Educational Therapists, Asia) is an advantage.
Strong understanding of learning disabilities, developmental disorders, and effective therapeutic interventions.
Proficiency in evidence-based approaches for children with learning needs.
Experience in teaching executive functioning skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
A heart to serve.
Passionate, efficient with good initiative and integrity.
Flexibility and adaptability to changes and different perspectives.
Self-motivated and able to execute home-based and centre-based support independently.
