Job Title: Service Technician / Service Engineer
About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Technician / Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for the production, servicing, installation, and commissioning of equipment in the marine/oil and gas industry.
- You will need to communicate customer requirements to your supervisor, receive and inspect customer-supplied products, and ensure all jobs meet technical manual standards and customer requirements.
- You will also be responsible for providing cabling diagrams for customers, commissioning equipment after installation, identifying and reporting quality issues to the Service Manager, and supervising technicians during production, servicing, installation, and commissioning.
- In addition, you will need to approve the release of equipment to customers after successful service and installation, decide on the placement/location for new installation work, supervise sub-contractors on the job site, and prepare and approve service reports.
Requirements:
A minimum NTC/ITC in Electronics Engineering or equivalent is required, along with at least five years of relevant experience.
Sound knowledge of computers, electronics, and telecommunication systems is essential, as well as experience in marine electronics or the offshore industry.
