Job Description
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banking (CIB) Technology - FX Options team, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Working on electronic trading for FX Options, you will be at the forefront of expanding electronic trading in financial markets.
Job Responsibilities
Participate in, design, and develop scalable and resilient systems; contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams.
Collaborate with trading, sales, and product teams to analyze and design features, systems, and processes to meet business needs.
Implement software solutions, including design, development, and troubleshooting.
Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore new and emerging technologies.
Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
Proficiency in Python, Unix, Unit Testing, Threading, and Messaging.
Proficient in one or more languages such as Java, Python, Typescript/React.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming and database querying languages.
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Understanding of agile methodologies like CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Knowledge of software applications and technical processes in areas such as cloud, AI, machine learning, or mobile technologies.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Familiarity with eTrading & FIX protocol.
Exposure to cloud technologies.
