At Activate Interactive, we are seeking a seasoned professional to join our engineering squad as a Senior DevOps Engineer.

This role requires an individual with a strong background in Linux system administration and virtualization, as well as experience in deploying and operating OpenShift in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Design & Deployment:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging pipelines to ensure seamless platform operations.
  • Automation & CI/CD:
    • Design and implement automated deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Argo CD.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Enforce security best practices to protect the organization's assets and data.
  • Collaboration & Documentation:
    • Partner with development, QA, and networking teams to onboard new applications and troubleshoot platform issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration (RHEL) and virtualization (KVM/QEMU).
  • 3+ years of experience in deploying and operating OpenShift in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of network and storage virtualisation.
  • Hands-on experience with OpenStack (Ansible-based or OpenStack SDK): Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, Glance.

Technical Skills

  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
  • Physical, virtual, and container-based networking & storage: Calico, OVN, Ceph, Portworx.
  • Monitoring/Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stacks.
  • Scripting: Bash, Python, or Go.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or OpenStack (RHOS-CL310).
  • Familiarity with VMware stacks.
  • Experience with GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux).
