Network Security Specialist Role

Job Description & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security department, you will be responsible for configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Bluecoat ProxySG appliances, Zscaler, and Management Console.

You will develop and implement proxy policies including URL filtering, proxy bypass, and forwarding rules. Additionally, you will set up and maintain SSL interception and decryption in compliance with security and privacy standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Bluecoat ProxySG appliances, Zscaler, and Management Console.
  • Develop and implement proxy policies including URL filtering, proxy bypass, and forwarding rules.
  • Set up and maintain SSL interception and decryption in compliance with security and privacy standards.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and Splunk to analyze proxy logs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws and regulatory standards regarding web traffic.
  • Plan and execute security-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with Bluecoat ProxySG configuration and management.
  • Strong skills in creating and managing web proxy policies.
  • Proficiency in SSL interception setup and management.
  • Hands-on experience with Splunk for log analysis and issue resolution.
  • Familiarity with data protection regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience in project planning and stakeholder management.
