In partnership with various teams across Temasek and our broader ecosystem, the Sustainability Group initiates, develops and implements strategies to build a climate-resilient, net zero portfolio to enable nature positive and inclusive growth; catalyses new business opportunities and solutions that contribute to sustainable development; advances thought leadership and engagement on sustainability topics; and supports our growth as a sustainable organisation to create shared value aligned with our mandate of generating sustainable returns over the long term. The Sustainability Group comprises of the following sub-teams and partners with the investment group and functional teams to strengthen our sustainability capabilities and ecosystem. Sustainability Strategy Sustainable Solutions ESG Investment Management Ecosperity The Sustainable Solutions team drive decarbonisation in portfolio companies and unlock new investment opportunities in Sustainable Living trends by identifying emerging thematics and catalysing innovative solutions. This involves: Catalysing decarbonisation solutions that will accelerate the decarbonisation of Temasek's portfolio in alignment with Temasek 2030 and 2050 portfolio decarbonisation targets, and Focusing on technology sectors that have an outsize impact on Temasek's total portfolio emissions, including low-carbon energy solutions – such as hydrogen, fusion and fission energy, and advanced geothermal energy – advanced biofuels and e-fuels for applications in maritime and aviation, electrification of heavy industry, and data centres and cooling efficiency improvements. Responsibilities The Sustainable Solutions team seeks associates and senior associates that are highly passionate about decarbonisation, knowledgeable about clean energy technologies and/or markets, and driven by a strong work ethic. Successful candidates will support this small, nimble team in a variety of job functions and can expect to gain exposure to cutting edge technology development while working with a global set of stakeholders. Support the team to catalyse solutions to decarbonise the Temasek portfolio in multiple clean energy sectors. Solutions will largely focus on technology innovation, but may also include ecosystem enabling initiatives, and/or policy and regulation proposals. Research and analyse new technology areas focusing on decarbonisation trends, policy and regulatory developments, market and commercial drivers to distill actionable insights for the wider Temasek Ecosystem Engage team stakeholders to validate problem statements (as needed)Requirements Bachelor's / Master's in the science, engineering and business disciplines Min. 2-4 years of relevant working experience preferred, but willing to consider less experienced candidates Knowledgeable about clean energy technologies and/or markets, driven by a strong work ethic Familiarity with technoeconomic analysis, investment analysis and financial modelling will be preferred Demonstrated experience in managing multi-faceted and complex projects, with strong execution capability Strong project management, organisation skills and exceptional attention to detail Resourceful with an ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability to understand the broader strategic context and to exercise judgement in carrying out the day-to-day responsibilities Stay connected by joining our network Enter your e-mail and tell us a bit about yourself, and we'll keep you informed about upcoming events and opportunities that match your interests. #J-18808-Ljbffr
