Data Center Security Program Manager, Data Center Development
Responsibilities
Ensure on-time delivery of multiple large-scale data center projects for Access Control System, Intrusion Detection Systems, and Video Surveillance System across the APAC region
Work with data center project managers to align security installation schedules and progress with delivery timelines
Manage vendors that perform Enterprise Access Control and Video Surveillance system installation, programming and testing
Guide ByteDance site teams to regularly monitor security infrastructure installation progress by data center providers
Partner with ByteDance design managers to review security design of data centers, and ensure compliance of standards and specifications
Support the ByteDance commercial team in expansion into new countries (site surveys, security vendor RFPs and onboarding, etc.)
Collaborate with cross-department teams to align on future security architecture and retrofit works, with occasional syncs during US timezones
Drive and own department's security program initiatives (design standards reviews, design documentations, cost optimization, system technology development roadmap, knowledge sharing of security technology, etc.)
Concurrently lead construction EHS initiatives and regular site walks as part of overall supervision of site security and safety
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors in Engineering or other IT/security technology related qualifications (e.g., PSP, CSPM or product-specific certifications)
At least 3 years of direct hands-on experience as security vendor in the implementation of Enterprise Video Surveillance and Access Control Systems, with preference for critical infrastructure projects
At least 1 year of experience in managing security vendors as an end user or client role
Familiarity with physical security design standards for data centers in APAC region
High integrity and accountability, with the ability to lead and inspire change even without authority
Strong stakeholder management during times of conflicting priorities
Effective oral and written communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, including those based in Mainland China, but not mandatory
Certification in PMP is a plus
Certification in CPP or familiarity with physical security operations in data centers is a plus
Basic knowledge of IP networking is a plus
