Job Description - Full Time Faculty, Tenure Track Position (Open-rank) in Sustainability Z)
We are seeking candidates for two full-time, open-rank faculty positions in Sustainability at the College of Integrative Studies (CIS), Singapore Management University (SMU). The roles are tenure-track, with a preference for interdisciplinary scholars from backgrounds in humanities, social sciences, or STEM.
The CIS, established in 2022, plays a key role in integrating ideas across disciplines and delivering the University's Core Curriculum. Responsibilities include:
Publishing in top-tier journals and applying for funding.
Contributing to undergraduate core curriculum, including electives and the Big Questions Freshman module.
For senior candidates, contributing to the PhD program in Asian Urbanisms.
Advising students in the Bachelor of Integrative Studies program.
Participating in college and university service, outreach, and engagement activities.

Qualifications include:
PhD in a relevant discipline by the time of hire.
Strong publication and grant record, especially for senior levels.
Evidence of teaching excellence and willingness to innovate in teaching methods.
