Roles & ResponsibilitiesSt Vincent Home is a sheltered home for elderly residents in the community in need of a place to stay. Set up in 1979 in collaboration with the Society of St Vincent de Paul, St Vincent Home provides long-term housing and accommodations for seniors on the Public Assistance Scheme, with the aim of enhancing their quality of life and assisting them in maintaining agency, independence, and dignity. Residents have the freedom of managing their own activities of daily life as far as possible, and play an active part in the upkeep and maintenance of the home. and would like to invite suitable candidates to apply for the position of:Resident Care StaffJob Description: Attend to residents’ needs at night. Ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of the residents and report residents’ needs to the AdministratorPerform general housekeeping to maintain cleanliness of the Home premisesCollaborate with staff to deliver quality care services to residents (eg. vital signs taking)Accompany residents for follow-up appointmentsAssist and participate in residents’ recreational, occupational, social and therapy programmesDocument actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and recordsMaintain work operations by following policies and proceduresProtect organization’s value by keeping resident information confidentialUpdate job knowledge by participating in educational opportunitiesMust be able to stay in the Home at nightWorking Hours : 6 days, capped at 44 hours per weekKey Requirements: Relevant experience would be an advantageEntry level is welcome as long as with compassion, caring and thoughtfulnessAble to perform the night-shift dutyConversational EnglishEnjoy working with elderlyAble to communicate with team members and maintain good teamworkPhysical fit to handle the needs of care residentsAble to commence soonest
