Overview Employee Relations Manager, Asia – Education group Our client is a leading education group and is looking for an Employee Relations Manager, Asia to join their office in Singapore. Responsibilities Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership/management on all matters related to employee relations. Promote consistent ER practices across various schools and countries. Lead or oversee complex and sensitive casework, including conduct, grievances, capabilities, and discrimination. Ensure that all ER issues are handled consistently, lawfully, and in alignment with company values. Support school leaders in conducting thorough and fair investigations, ensuring proper documentation and outcomes. Provide strategic and hands-on support for employee and industrial relations, including engagement with unions and governmental bodies in labour-focused countries across Asia. Assist in reviewing and standardizing ER-related policies, such as disciplinary, grievance, and performance policies. Ensure all policies comply with local employment legislation in each country of operation. Coach and empower leaders and HR teams to effectively handle ER matters. Design and deliver training sessions on topics such as managing difficult conversations, conducting fair investigations, and promoting dignity at work. Monitor ER themes and trends to identify potential risks or areas of concern, and recommend proactive strategies. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in HR or ER, ideally with regional exposure. Strong knowledge in employment law and ER practice across multiple Asian jurisdictions. Skilled in coaching senior leaders and building capability in line managers. Excellent judgement, with the ability to balance legal risk, organisational values, and cultural nuance. Demonstrated experience managing complex ER cases end-to-end. Experience working in international education or similarly people-intensive, values-driven sectors.
