Senior Cyber Security Manager | SOC | SIEM Cloud Security
Our client is a multi billion company with close to 20 years of experience, a market leader in its area of specialization. The role is based in Singapore and involves leading IT security and risk initiatives as part of a technology investment program.
Overview
This position leads the cyber security function, guiding strategy, people, processes, and technology to protect IT systems, data, and infrastructure. The role emphasizes advisory, threat detection, incident response, risk management, and collaboration with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Providing advisory and solutioning on new security threats and vulnerabilities, including vulnerability assessments and security reviews of IT systems, networks, and core applications.
Enhancing early detection capabilities by analyzing internal security data (forensic evidence, log data, compromised hosts, network traffic) and external sources to identify gaps and close security controls.
Conducting information security incident investigations and proposing corrective and preventive measures.
Leading a cyber security team to manage end-to-end processes across cyber security.
Overseeing the development and execution of corporate security awareness and training programs.
Designing IT security framework to ensure availability, integrity, and confidentiality of IT systems.
Reviewing the security roadmap to ensure alignment with the current cyber security landscape.
Monitoring compliance and staying abreast of legislative and regulatory trends to address potential impacts and gaps.
Designing processes to identify, improve and optimize IT risk management policies and practices, especially during major IT implementations and system upgrades.
Qualifications
At least 8 years of experience in Cyber Security across prevention, detection, and response.
At least 3 years of experience in team management; proven track record leading lean security teams with external vendors.
Experience engaging with C-level business stakeholders.
Exposure to cloud security is an added advantage.
