Advanced Firewall Security Specialist

Job Description
Our organization is seeking an experienced Firewall Engineer (L2) to design, configure and maintain enterprise firewall infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in leading-edge firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet or Check Point, along with strong troubleshooting skills for complex security incidents.
This role requires the ability to configure and manage firewalls, including security rules, NAT and VPNs.
Additionally, the successful candidate will perform firewall policy reviews, audits and optimization, troubleshoot firewall-related connectivity and security issues, implement intrusion prevention and application control policies and manage site-to-site and remote access VPNs.
Furthermore, the chosen individual will work closely with network and server teams to ensure security compliance, document firewall configurations, changes and incident reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or higher in Networking, Information Technology or a related field.
- 3-5 years' hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet or Check Point firewalls.
- Strong knowledge of NAT, VPN setup and firewall security policies.
- Experience with firewall troubleshooting and security incident response.
- Security certifications preferred.
- Experience in SIEM tools for log analysis, firewall clustering, high availability setups.
- Good to have certification on PCNSE, NSE4 or CCSA.
