Overview To carry out duties involved in the operation and maintenance of pulmonary physiology and/or polysomnography equipment under supervision of the Respiratory Medical Technologist / Respiratory Therapist. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Specific ( 85% )Perform routine pulmonary physiology tests, polysomnography test, ambulatory sleep test under the supervision of the Respiratory Medical Technologist / Respiratory Therapist. Generate accurate reports. Schedule test appointments and follow up appointments as needed. Perform routine calibration and maintenance of equipment to ensure accurate and reliable assessment and diagnosis; troubleshooting errors when variances arise. Check, maintain and manage inventory stock for PFT Lab, Sleep Lab and ICU. Assist and participate in clinical research activities in the department. General ( 15% )Performance of other related duties as assigned by supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and order of laboratory and workspace at all times. Be actively involved in hospital's projects and functions and participate in community outreach programs. Uphold and maintain a culture of patient-centered care and safety. NHG Aligned Aspects of Practice Clinical Practice and Improvement To participate in departmental quality assurance, quality improvement initiatives and institutional performance improvement activities. To comply with infection control practices. To fulfil all established clinical roles and responsibilities according to departmental work instructions and hospital policies. To fulfil all clinical competencies and expectations required for job scope. To undertake any other duties as may be assigned. Education To assist with in-house training/workshops for healthcare colleagues. Research To assist other technologists with any ongoing departmental research activity. To be updated with latest evidence-based guidelines used in clinical practice. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education / Training / Experience Diploma in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Technology or equivalent. BCLS certificate (To be obtained after joining)#J-18808-Ljbffr
