Our people are the real jet starsJob Description The Base Maintenance Support Manager is accountable for all aspects of aircraft materials and spares management at all external maintenance base facilities to meet business requirements. The role leads the Material Specialist team, ensuring that the appropriate materials and spares are made available to maintenance checks, indirectly supporting on‐time aircraft redelivery at reasonable logistics cost. It also leads the Tech Records Team, ensuring that all required regulatory compliance aircraft tech records and material transactions are entered and validated into the MIS TRAX and archived in accordance with CASA regulations. Reporting to the Manager External Maintenance Base (SIN), main accountabilities include: Safety and compliance: Accountable for implementing Jetstar Safety Standards including safety of personnel at all locations. Accountable for regulatory compliance and ensuring all mandatory training is completed. Operational support: Accountable to meet or exceed all departmental goals. Ensure Material Specialists and Tech Records Officers are trained and assessed for competence. Develop and implement material support enhancement strategies to achieve the best outcome for the department, liaising with the Commercial Team and sourcing alternate options of material suppliers and freight when required.
