Educational Technologist (Centre for Teaching, Learning & Technology) – Job Description

Overview

The Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology (CTLT) is hiring an Education Technologist to support digital assessment operations and explore emerging assessment technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Create awareness and push for the adoption of digital assessments at NUS.
  • Provide training and consultations to guide NUS staff in understanding the workflow and platform to effectively administer the digital assessments.
  • Provide service desk support for digital assessments to promptly assist staff and students.
  • Conduct briefings and mock sessions to guide NUS students in using the digital assessment software and to address any technical issues.
  • Ensure appropriate provisions are configured for Accessibility Support and Accommodations (ASA) students taking digital assessments.
  • Check the question, assessment and posting settings before the assessment and follow up with the examiner to ensure the smooth running of digital assessments.
  • Provide onsite/online technical support and loaner laptops on the assessment day.
  • Support large-scale digital assessments such as mid-terms, mini-semester exams and final exams every semester.
  • Benchmark digital assessment tools and ongoing evaluation of AI tools for assessments.

Qualifications

  • Basic degree preferably in Computer Science or related fields. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Customer-oriented, a fast learner and good team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good computer skills and able to confidently troubleshoot technical issues independently.
  • Willing to work after office hours, including Saturdays.
