Our facility in Singapore has key functions in research and development, procurement, sales and finance for our Lighting and Detection business lines, in addition to key functions related to our Optics Manufacturing capabilities. This site produces optical lenses such as spherical, aspherical and plano optics, with large machine shop capabilities and expertise in optical coating and assembly. Our photonic products and solutions serve a wide range of markets and applications in the areas of medicine, life science, industrial manufacturing, defense, and aerospace, as well as research and development. We are presently seeking a Senior Assembly Engineer that responsible for driving high-performance team development and leading critical projects to ensure successful delivery within budget and schedule. Main responsibilities: Mentor and develop the team to achieve high performance and continuous improvement in laser/fiber assembly processes. Plan and manage projects to meet budgetary and schedule targets. Oversee task planning, prioritize critical activities, and ensure smooth daily operations. Implement engineering controls and training to achieve a zero-incident safety culture, including laser safety risk assessments and audits. Own the product lifecycle, including RFQ management in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to meet customer requirements. Ensure timely closure of RFQs by tracking and reporting Turnaround Time (TAT). Lead and ensure successful execution of FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), FLP (First Lot Production), and FAI (First Article Inspection) to meet customer requirements. Lead customer communications during escalations and provide progress updates to management. Ensure operational readiness and successful handover of projects. Collaborate with Design Engineering to develop manufacturable and high-quality product designs. Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to maximize product quality and yield. Lead testing strategy, process development, and design reviews for new products. Prepare and document processes for production
