Department Overview:

Role Overview:
Candidate will be responsible for analyzing Trade Repository Reporting requirements, documenting processes, and bridging the gap between various stakeholders and technical teams to ensure effective trade repository reporting solutions for HKMA, KRX, MAS and ASIC OTC derivatives reporting. Previous knowledge in HKMA and KRX-TR reporting is a must. In addition, should have experience in performing Quality Assurance (via DTCC TRA or other similar services) for MAS and ASIC reporting. The role will also involve engaging with the Change team and Technology teams towards addressing Day 2 solutions for HKMA and KRX regulatory reporting rewrites scheduled in Sep and Oct respectively.
Candidate will also be responsible for preparation, reconciliation, accuracy checks and submission of non-financial regulatory reports to the applicable jurisdictions.
Role Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and challenge the business requirements for trade repository reporting processes
- Analyze current workflows and identify areas for improvement
- Review system enhancements within upstream applications owing to new requirements from regulatory specifications or regulatory guidelines
- Analyze the data flows between upstream systems, reporting suite and trade repositories
- Ensure the business rules and validation requirements are well-written and documented within the change requests
- Review the requirements traceability from rewrites that have already gone live (i.e., EMIR, MAS, ASIC, etc.) and ensure HKMA and KRX-TR changes are aligned
- Ensure the products in scope and various lifecycle events attributed to such products are accurately represented
- Ensure accurate preparation and submission of non-financial regulatory reports
- Perform and analyze quality assurance reviews for applicable jurisdictions
- Review new product launches in detail to assess applicability for TR and preparedness, including UAT
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with Operations, Technology, and Compliance teams
- Partner with Change and Technology teams to facilitate requirements gathering
- Coordinate with Front Office technology teams, Middle Office teams and desk to understand the product nuances
- Discuss changes with the wider regulatory reporting parties to ensure standardization and harmonization
- Coordinate with market intermediaries such as ISDA, DTCC as also trade repositories such as KRX-TR, HKTR, for rules interpretation and reporting consistencies
Skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Familiarity with existing reporting regulations - HKMA, KRX-TR, MAS, ASIC - in particular, day 2 items lined up for post-go-live design and development
- Knowledge of reporting language (XML 20022, FpML, etc.)
- Understanding of OTC derivatives products and knowledge of trade lifecycle events
- Strong understanding of trade reporting regulations
- Experience with trade repository platforms
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Regulatory Operations working knowledge of at least 6 to 7 years
Domain Knowledge:
- Understanding of financial markets infrastructure
- Experience with trade repository platforms (DTCC, KRX-TR, etc.)
Tools & Technologies:
- Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills)
- JIRA or similar tracking tools
- Requirements management tools
- Workflow tools to manage exceptions
