Business System Analyst Job Overview

This challenging role involves leading business system analysis and strategy initiatives. Key Responsibilities include analyzing banking operations, gathering business requirements, assessing technical viability, designing solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, developing comprehensive diagrams and documentation, effectively managing responsibilities, promoting teamwork, communicating project milestones, status updates, and critical decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze banking operations and systems focusing on FX, MM, Derivatives, Bonds, GIRO, and FAST functionalities.
  • Engage with various systems across banking domains including core banking, front-office, back-office, reporting, and regulatory systems.
  • Gather and document business requirements as a Business Analyst and assess technical viability and design solutions as a System Analyst.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and articulate business needs and proposed system changes.
  • Develop comprehensive diagrams and documentation to communicate business needs and proposed system changes.
  • Effectively manage responsibilities including time, communication, task execution, and risk mitigation.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, transparency, and responsibility to align with project goals and ensure cross-functional cooperation.
  • Communicate project milestones, status updates, and critical decisions to stakeholders, including senior leadership, and provide insights on risks, progress, and dependencies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in business analysis with a strong background in requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Practical knowledge and hands-on experience in at least one of the following domains: Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Market (MM), Derivatives, Bonds, FAST or GIRO payments and Cross-border (XB) or MEPS payments.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a System Analyst involving solution design, specifications, and technical evaluations.
  • Proficiency in developing business process flowcharts and system architecture diagrams; strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with multiple domains is highly desirable.
  • Experience working on international projects or within global teams.
