We are a small-batch artisanal bakery on the hunt for a Part‐Time Baker or Pastry Cook. This role requires a minimum of 3 full shifts per week (including weekends / PH if required), and a minimum commitment of 3 months. We pride ourselves on using good quality ingredients, seasonal produce, and making everything from scratch. From the condiments in our sandwiches to the jams we serve with our bread, everything is made in‐house. Ideal Candidate Possess good work ethic - we value punctuality, willingness to learn and adapt, diligence, and knowing how to be a good team‐player. Be able to work on weekends (and PHs, should we be open). Have 1–2 years of professional experience working in a production kitchen. Be comfortable working in an open kitchen. This also means you will have to be okay with a little bit of customer service from time to time. (No table service, don't worry.)Be willing to commit for 3 months minimally. This is because we invest time and labour in training new staff. Be okay with early shifts. Depending on your area of responsibility, you may be required to come in as early as 3:30am. Our latest shift starts at 6:30am. Job Requirements Scaling ingredients accurately Mixing and portioning cake and cookie batters, mixing and portioning pie dough mixing / cooking fillings (pastry cream, custards, caramel), with proper technique (for pastry cooks)Mixing, portioning and shaping bread doughs. Baking breads in a combi and deck oven. (for bread bakers)Prep work (processing vegetables and fruit)Helping with ordering and maintaining inventory Day‐to‐day upkeep and cleaning of workspace.
