Job Purpose: The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Coordination: Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.Develop project schedules (Gantt charts, critical path analysis) and monitor progress.Coordinate with cross-functional teams (design, procurement, production, QA/QC). Technical & Design Oversight: Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry codes (e.g., ASME, API), and regulatory standards.Liaise with design teams to resolve technical issues. Execution & Supervision: Oversee onsite/offsite fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities.Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure adherence to standards.Manage subcontractors and vendors for specialized tasks. Cost & Risk Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and report variances.Identify risks (delays, cost overruns, safety hazards) and implement mitigation plans. Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, contractors, and authorities.Prepare progress reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders.Address client feedback and ensure deliverables meet expectations. Compliance & Safety: Enforce workplace safety protocols (e.g., OSHA, Singapore WSH Act).Ensure all projects adhere to environmental and legal regulations. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering or related field. Experience: 3–5 years in project engineering, preferably in oil & gas, construction, or precision manufacturing . Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Project, or similar tools.Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and project management methodologies (PMP/PRINCE2 is a plus). Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication (written/spoken) for client and team interactions.
