Product Development Leader

  • Work with senior management to establish and implement the company's product development strategy.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cross-functional teams involved in the design, development, and launch of medical devices.
  • Deliver innovative design solutions that meet customer requirements while ensuring specifications for product systems, subsystems, interfaces, and components are met and traceability is maintained throughout the development process.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with technology companies to support product development efforts.
  • Provide expert technical direction for product design aspects across the entire product lifecycle.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and stay current with new technologies, materials, and industry trends. Participate in research and assessment of the industry landscape from IP, regulatory, product, and technology perspectives. Collaborate on technical reviews at various stages of design and development.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's Quality Management System and ISO 13485 standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related technical field.
  • 10 years of experience in product development roles, preferably within the medical industry or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong foundation in mechanical, mechatronic, or opto-mechanical fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with various manufacturing technologies and processes such as machining, injection molding, extrusion, etc.
  • Proven track record of design innovation, including a history of inventing patents.
  • Collaborative style; must be comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged.
