About the role We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sumitomo Bakelite Singapore Pte Ltd. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. This is a full-time, permanent role that plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes. Responsibilities Performing routine maintenance and inspections on various manufacturing equipment, including troubleshooting and repairing breakdowns Conducting preventive maintenance activities to maximise the lifespan and performance of equipment Collaborating with the production team to address any operational issues and minimise downtime Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance Provide engineering support to the Production department. Assisting with the installation of new equipment and machinery as required. Involve in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities Qualifications At least 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial setting Strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve equipment issues Good working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and control systems Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics and blueprints Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment About us Sumitomo Bakelite, the world's largest producer of epoxy molding compound is building a responsive team of loyal individuals with flexible skills and an unwavering commitment to deliver excellence to our customers within a dynamic environment.
