Overview What the role is: As a member of the Legal Operations Group of Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC), you will play an important role in supporting the work of the Legal Service Officers (LSOs). Responsibilities Assist prosecutors and state counsels in legal operation matters such as case management support. Update key systems to manage case listing/records, ensuring effective and accurate data records are captured for retrieval. Provide nearby IT support for LSOs to resolve issues with proprietary software and case management systems. Draft simple letters/documents. Manage the administration of requests for legal advice from stakeholder agencies, including monitoring of timelines and circulations. Manage and maintain legal files. Update the scheduling of court hearings and legal meetings into the appropriate systems, assist in booking of rooms, security clearance of visitors where necessary. Advise LSOs on procedures including internal circulars and directions, court forms, practice directions, rules of court etc. Undertake legal case management of litigation files, which includes but is not limited to the following:Evidence and Document Management Pre-litigation Discovery Preparation of written pleadings/submissions Prepare exhibits and Bundles Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. What we are looking for Self-starter, able to work independently & take initiative. Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Flexible, keen to learn, open to new ideas and adapt to changes. Good interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to get along well with others and work well in a team. Good command of the English Language and possess good writing skills. Proficient in MS Office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Comfortable with IT systems.
