Cyber Security Specialist Role

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Specialist to design and implement secure systems, networks, and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security engineering, architecture, and compliance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, developing and implementing incident response plans, monitoring systems and networks for security threats, and ensuring compliance with security regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure systems, networks, and applications.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Develop and implement incident response plans.
  • Monitor systems and networks for security threats.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with security regulations and standards.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, and proven experience in cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, or a related field.

You must also have strong technical skills, including knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), experience with security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS), a strong understanding of operating systems, networking, and cloud security, and certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent.

Nice to Have:

Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) are also desirable.
