Job Description

The role of a junior marine surveyor involves attending and carrying out various types of surveys on board ships and sites to assess the condition of cargo, cargo measuring equipment, and marine-related activities. This position requires strong analytical skills to verify equipment onboard vessels and ensure compliance with standards or specifications.

Additionally, this role involves performing marine surveys on vessels and cargo inspections at sites to report on their condition for insurance claims. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Nitec/ITE qualifications in marine-related fields or a Diploma in Nautical, Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience working onboard vessels is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including public holidays, due to ship schedules.
