Job Description
We are seeking experienced Speech Therapists who are passionate about working in the community in the following areas: Paediatric Rehabilitation (Early Intervention Programme), Adult Rehabilitation and Community-Based Rehabilitation (Day Activity Centres, Day Rehabilitation Centres and Nursing Homes).
As a speech therapist, you are expected to:
Assess and identify the needs of individual clients to recommend appropriate therapeutic interventions and programmes
Conduct individual or group therapy to ensure client outcomes
Participate in public education/outreach to build an inclusive society
Keep abreast of the latest research and developments in speech therapy and be involved in networking with hospitals and other community organisations
Senior Speech Therapists will be expected to take on supervisory and administrative roles in addition to clinical work
Requirements
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Speech Therapy (or equivalent) recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
Eligible for registration as Speech Therapist with the AHPC in Singapore.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients and families with empathy and professionalism.
A team player with a heart for serving in the social service sector and supporting people with disabilities.
Experience in management and multi-agency collaboration will be an added advantage.
Applicants for the position of Senior Speech Therapist should have at least 5 years of relevant working experience, including one year of clinical supervision to practicing Speech Therapist.
