University of the People is currently seeking a BI/Analytics Director to lead the BI/Analytics Group. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the data and analytics strategy, overseeing data-driven initiatives that inform decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, develop reporting capabilities, and drive continuous improvements in data collection and analysis processes.Your essential responsibilities will include team management, where you will lead and mentor a team of data analysts and data scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth. You will develop team skills in data visualization, data modeling, and statistical analysis, while formulating and implementing management techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data. Additionally, you will manage the intake of data requests to the team.Stakeholder engagement is another crucial aspect of this role, where you will collaborate with cross-functional leaders such as Marketing, Enrollment, Academic Affairs, and Operations to identify key institutional questions and create data solutions. You will oversee the development of dashboards, KPI reports, and data visualizations, driving the implementation of self-service Power BI dashboards for end-users to access data independently.Working closely with Data Engineering teams, you will establish the Datawarehouse as the single source of truth while continuously developing the University data dictionary. You will also support and train data analysts with the centralization of data processing logic in the Datawarehouse.Key competencies required for this role include strong data analytics and reporting skills using Power BI, previous experience with agile project management practices, problem-solving skills, ability to work remotely as part of an international team, and insights on the use of AI techniques and tools to enhance analytical capabilities.To qualify for this position, you must hold a BSc/BA in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management, or a related field, and have at least 7+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, and database management. You should also possess 5+ years of team management experience and advanced knowledge of data analysis, statistical modeling, data manipulation, and reporting techniques (including Excel, SAS, Python, SQL). Advanced experience working with Power BI and understanding of Data Modeling/Architecture and Data Warehousing systems are also required.This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including health insurance. The work location is remote, and the schedule is during the day shift. The ideal candidate will have 4 years of experience with Power BI, 8 years of data analysis skills, 5 years of SQL experience, and 2 years of Agile project management experience.,
