Job Purpose:

Our Derivatives Clearing & Execution (DCE) desk supports the execution and clearing of globally listed future and options as well as exchange-cleared OTC products and provides 24-hour access to a wide range of clients that transact through them along facilitating exchange clearing of OTC products.

The Client Services Group that supports DCE business is part of GFM COO office which includes Business Management & Support, Strategic Program Management, Operational Risk and Business Analysis & Planning. This role plays a critical role in servicing DCE customers on platform related matters.

As part of our Client Services group, you will liaise with DBS's DCE clients, including but not limited to corporate and professional retail clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing Client Communications: Handle clients' enquiries via different channels, including emails and phone call.
  • Client Desk Support: Provide support on futures trading systems, trading limits, post trade services, account queries where stakeholders are clients as well as internal business and support units.
  • Risk Monitoring/Regulatory: Client risk monitoring & trade capture related matters & proactive identification of gaps and areas of improvements including the application of regulatory and internal risk policy guidelines across end-to-end business activities.
  • Understanding of SOP's and ensuring business workflows and controls are adhered to.
  • Projects & Initiatives: Co-ordinate process improvements and automation which includes understanding front office user requirements as well as participating in UAT.
  • Liaison with exchanges, brokers, vendors, and customer on platform and clearing matters.
Requirements:
  • Available to work night shifts (till 2:30 AM) on public holidays and occasionally on weekends.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 - 3 years of understanding and experience in the financial markets and trading products especially futures and commodities.
  • Good understanding of front-end technology platforms. CQG, FIS UBIX would be a plus.
  • Previous client facing experience especially in trouble shooting & problem solving would be preferred.
  • Self-starter with good communication skills and enjoys working and collaborating with various stakeholders and personalities.
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel
