Vanderlande understands the complexities of operating successful airport and parcel operations and delivers future-proof logistics process automation. These automation systems consist of many (electro-)mechanical and IT components, built by teams worldwide, and must be integrated with other software systems to support our customers' processes.
Your position
The Integration Manager is part of the management team for an airport and parcel project. Working closely with a project manager and project leaders across various hardware and software engineering disciplines, the role focuses on system design, integration, testing, and managing technical risks inherent to complex systems.
The key tasks and responsibilities include:
Managing the functional design to ensure customer requirements are translated into appropriate solutions with minimal risks. Advising on standard and special solutions' impact.
Identifying risks and developing solutions to mitigate them.
Developing and implementing system integration plans, test plans, and test specifications in collaboration with Solution Architects and Integration Engineers.
Managing the testing phase and ensuring a smooth transition to customer operations alongside the Integration Engineer and other engineering disciplines.
Understanding customer processes and advising on the impact of changes.
Monitoring progress with clear, concise reporting.
Managing component deliveries from suppliers through verification and validation.
Integrating (sub-)systems into existing customer systems.
Ensuring that after testing, systems are handed over according to specifications by colleagues and suppliers.
Your department
The APAC project integration department is part of Vanderlande's Airport & Parcel Solutions business unit. It is responsible for system design, testing, and integration of complex airport and parcel systems for clients in the Asia Pacific region, including Changi, Hong Kong, Western Sydney Airport, DHL, and FedEx. The department works in an international team with diverse cultural backgrounds.
Your profile
You have a technical or logistics education, at least Bachelor or Master level.
Preferably, you are familiar with customer processes in airport or parcel automation.
You are an experienced system integrator familiar with systems engineering processes such as requirement management, verification and validation, change management, and configuration management.
You know how to build partnerships with customers and internal and external suppliers.
You can balance quality, lead time, and cost effectively.
You possess strong analytical skills and think at a system level.
You are proactive and pragmatic.
You can motivate people at all levels and are a team builder.
You have good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
You are willing to travel approximately 50% of the time for on-site project handovers.
