Overview
Team Leader role at United HR Solutions Pvt. Ltd. for Veterinary Hospital. Position: Nurse Manager. Reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and collaborates with Specialists and Veterinarians to ensure smooth operations while balancing financial goals with patient care.
Responsibilities
Lead the Veterinary nursing team; ensure high standards of patient care and clinical operations.
Manage nursing staff, coordinate patient care, and improve service quality.
Head the Nursing team for the Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) Department and lead the Nursing team for other clinical departments as required.
Oversee daily operations across all clinical departments in collaboration with the COO.
Conduct annual operational audits to identify bottlenecks and optimize scheduling to reduce patient downtime.
Implement time-management initiatives to minimize workflow interruptions; track quarterly improvements in operational smoothness.
Maintain staff readiness through structured trainings on defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
ECC service management: ensure 24/7 nurse availability and complete shift coverage with minimal gaps in patient care.
Utilize data-driven shift planning to optimize emergency staffing and triage processes; leverage digital platforms where applicable.
Track ECC performance using clinical KPIs, including patient outcome success rates and satisfaction metrics.
Conduct regular ECC workflow analysis to streamline patient intake and improve emergency response times.
Introduce training modules for ECC nurses, focusing on rapid decision-making and high-pressure case handling.
Standardize ECC reporting and documentation; foster collaboration between ECC staff and other departments.
Monitor and benchmark ECC patient recovery rates against industry standards to identify areas for refinement.
Human Resource & Workforce Planning: implement mentorship and coaching for staff development; promote diversity and inclusive hiring practices.
Address staff grievances promptly with the COO; monitor scheduling, attendance, and leave to ensure adequate coverage.
Engage with universities for internship opportunities; assist in interviews and selection for nursing staff; address disciplinary issues as needed.
Qualifications
A degree or diploma in veterinary nursing or general nursing.
Advanced diplomas or specialized veterinary nursing certifications (e.g., Cert III or Cert IV).
At least 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience in veterinary nursing (preferred).
Expertise in patient care, staff management, and clinical operations with background in healthcare/hospital administration.
Ability to train and mentor nursing staff.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of veterinary healthcare protocols and compliance.
