Job Title: Assistant Manager

This role is a 2-year renewable/convertible contract position.

You will be part of a team responsible for conceptualising, strategising, and developing a world-class NS-themed gallery (NSG) until its opening in

The NSG aims to be a world-class exhibition that imparts audiences with an understanding of Singapore's immutable vulnerabilities, the importance and significance of NS, and why we ourselves must defend Singapore.

Main Responsibilities

  • Developing and planning public programming, education, and events around NSG;
  • Strategising and leading business development and partnership plans;
  • Cultivating and obtaining sponsorship and raising funds to optimise resources.

Additional Tasks

  • Curate and execute a large platform display at the NS Square Atrium;
  • Curate and execute NSG content, gallery design, and fabrication across 4000 square metres of exhibition space;
  • Direct branding and comms efforts;
  • Conceptualise other museum-related planning and operations - e.g. special exhibitions.

Key Deliverables

  • Conduct Public Programming, Education, and Events for NSG place-making;
  • Plan and operationalise Volunteering Efforts for the NSG;
  • Develop and operationalise Business Development plans, including retail strategies;
  • Develop the Fundraising and Sponsorship plans for the NSG;
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates to NS Gallery Task Force and Working Groups.

Requirements

This role requires excellent project management skills, with experience in managing complex projects from start to finish.

A strong understanding of marketing principles, brand development, and communications is also necessary.

Familiarity with fundraising and sponsorship strategies is preferred.

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, while a Master's degree or higher is highly desirable.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
