Background
ELLO is reinventing home security for the modern household. We're building a smart, AI-powered home monitoring experience that goes beyond motion detection and endless camera footage. Our product, Vision One, combines intelligent alerts with contextual understanding—so families can feel safer without feeling overwhelmed. We're early but growing fast—with media features, investor interest, and a solid product roadmap. Now, we're looking for a front-end developer to help bring ELLO's mobile app experience to life.
Job scope
The Role
As our first front-end app developer, you'll be the architect and builder of our user-facing experience. You'll translate product and design visions into a seamless mobile experience for our early users—and lay the foundation for future growth.
What You'll Do
Build and ship ELLO's mobile app (iOS & Android) using
React Native
or
Flutter
Translate high-fidelity designs into intuitive, performant user interfaces
Collaborate with backend engineers and AI devs to integrate APIs and features
Optimize app performance, animations, offline handling, and device compatibility
Set up CI/CD pipelines, crash reporting, and versioning for app releases
Work closely with the founder to iterate based on user feedback
Help define our engineering standards, tech stack, and architecture choices
What We're Looking For
3+ years experience building and deploying mobile apps (React Native or Flutter)
Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, state management, and native integrations
Experience working with REST APIs, Firebase, push notifications, etc.
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced startup environment
Bonus: Worked on apps involving camera access, streaming, or real-time events
Bonus: Familiar with edge computing, CV/AI integrations, or smart home products
