Logistics Specialist (SCDF) - ST Logistics Job Summary: The Logistics Specialist - Warehouse and Cold Chain Management is responsible for performing general warehouse operations and activities. He/She performs warehouse operations in adherence to procedures, and the safe and efficient operations of goods and equipment. He/She performs deliveries, asset management and transaction documentation processes, and performs the secure handling of goods. He/She also supports implementation of improvement opportunities within the warehouse operations. He/She may be required to work in rotating shifts and be able to carry heavy loads. Job Responsibilities / Key Tasks Business Administration Operations Participate in a value-based culture and a culture of accountability in the organisation Adhere to the organisation's governance, compliance issues and reporting processes Adhere to the organisation's data governance and protection processes Work with allocated resources Apply operational policies, standards and procedures Perform basic risk assessment Support the department in incident or crisis management initiatives Business Process / Continuous Improvement Perform continuous improvement activities Apply environmental protection procedures Safety and Health Perform WSH activities to ensure personal compliance with requirements Perform safety and health risk assessment Report WSH incidents Highlight WSH shortcomings in existing processes Technology Application Assist application of latest technology to improve operations in own work areas Operate technology or electronic tools and devices Warehousing, Cargo and Material Handling Report warehousing issues in a timely manner Perform loading, unloading and arranging of warehouse cargo and items Perform warehouse security operations in adherence to plans Perform cargo or material-handling security procedures Perform moving of warehouse cargo and items Perform cross docking operations and shipment consolidation Perform warehouse operations in accordance with 5S techniques Identify operational shortfall, maintenance or repair needs Assist in application of methods and techniques to handle dangerous goods Assist in application of methods and techniques to handle time and temperature-sensitive cargo Perform cargo consolidation activities Perform transhipment and transloading operations Comply with height, weight and special handling requirements in stacking, moving and arranging items on pallets according to storage plans Perform container stuffing and unstuffing operations Job Requirements Basic knowledge of SAP/Warehouse Management System (WMS)Proficiency in basic MS Office Applications Physically fit for tasks that may involve lifting and moving packages Good team player, able to work well independently and in a team Fork Lift licence is preferred Professional Qualifications & Relevant Experience GCE N/O Levels / NITEC 1–2 years of relevant working experience in warehouse operations Seniority Level Entry level Employment Type Full‐time Job Function Management and Manufacturing Industries Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage #J-18808-Ljbffr
