The Senior System Architect is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and operation of factory IT Systems.

  • Design, deploy, and maintain factory IT infrastructure, including on-premises servers, cloud integrations, and edge computing devices.
  • Ensure 24/7 availability of critical systems supporting factory operations.

The Senior System Architect will manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server 2022, and VMware environments for production and manufacturing systems.

  • Maintain high availability and disaster recovery setups for essential factory applications.
  • Coordinate the management and maintenance of these systems, including scheduling software updates, patches, and upgrades as necessary.

Cybersecurity

The Senior System Architect will implement and oversee cybersecurity measures to safeguard the facility's IT systems from threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Conduct routine security assessments and audits to detect and address risks effectively.
  • Harden IT systems with SELinux, firewalls, and secure authentication mechanisms.

Data Management and Backup

The Senior System Architect will ensure data integrity, availability, and security by implementing robust data management practices and reliable backup systems.

  • Implement effective disaster recovery solutions.

The Senior System Architect will also be responsible for offering technical support and troubleshooting IT-related issues for all employees and contractors.

  • Act as the escalation point for resolving high-priority issues in IT and OT systems.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring problems and implement preventive measures.

Additionally, the Senior System Architect will manage IT projects from inception through to successful completion, adhering to specified timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
