Frontend Software Engineer - Infrastructure Platform
Overview
About the Team: Our Infrastructure Engineering team builds and operates hyper-scale data centers, manages the life cycle of the server fleet, allocates cloud resources and creates various cloud solutions, and provides infrastructure services including widely distributed Content Distribution Networks (CDNs). The team builds and leverages platforms to manage and interact with our infrastructures and services. To support fast growth and improve operation efficiency, these platforms need to be feature rich, easy to use, scalable, agile and compliant with policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Build platforms, systems and services for internal and external teams to interact with the large scale production systems.
Build tools and platforms to improve engineering productivity.
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, and deployment across multiple environments.
Bring new ideas and technologies into our platform, innovate and iterate.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to Java, C/C++, Python, or Go.
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, and familiarity with one or more front-end frameworks such as React, AngularJS, VueJS, etc.
2+ years of frontend development experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the latest web standards, including HTML5, CSS, DOM.
Experience in building responsive UI with frameworks/libraries such as Tailwind CSS or Styled Components.
Basic knowledge of frontend build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, Babel).
Experience with consuming RESTful APIs in frontend applications, including handling asynchronous requests (e.g., using fetch, Axios), managing authentication tokens (OAuth2/JWT), and implementing robust error handling and retry logic.
Familiarity with state management and data fetching patterns (e.g., React Query, Redux Toolkit) for efficient API data handling and caching on the client side.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for frontend deployment.
Strong sense of web design and fundamentals of user experience.
