Key Accountabilities
Test Planning & Execution: Collaborate with senior team members to analyse project requirements and build test plans for new features. Execute manual and automated tests to verify functionality and usability of both frontend and backend systems. Ensure that features meet technical specifications and quality standards before release.
Issue Analysis & Feedback: Investigate issues raised during testing and user feedback, identifying root causes and providing detailed reports to the development team. Work closely with the team to troubleshoot and resolve defects, ensuring effective communication between the expert user community and developers.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with developers, product managers, designers, and QA teams to ensure alignment on testing goals and priorities. Participate in team discussions and refinement sessions to improve testing strategies and overall software quality. Provide clear, actionable feedback on identified bugs and issues.
Test Automation Development: Assist in the development and enhancement of the automated testing framework. Contribute to the creation of automated test scripts, expanding the scope of automation to improve test coverage, reduce manual effort, and accelerate the release cycle while maintaining reliability.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of testing activities, including test cases, plans, and results. Generate detailed reports on test outcomes, highlighting issues, risks, and suggested improvements. Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring transparency and understanding.
Continuous Improvement & Learning: Proactively seek opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and frameworks. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in testing to continually enhance team efficiency and the quality of testing efforts. Participate in feedback sessions and actively develop technical skills.
Security & Best Practices: Support security testing and ensure that applications are secure and adhere to best practices. Identify vulnerabilities and potential risks, working with the team to implement solutions and maintain secure software. Follow coding and testing standards to ensure maintainability and scalability of testing frameworks.
What We\'re Looking For
Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester) are a plus.
2+ years of experience in software testing/QA, including a solid understanding of testing processes and methodologies.
Experience in testing web and mobile applications, including functional, regression, UX, and domain testing.
Knowledge of various testing techniques (e.g., black-box, white-box, exploratory, user acceptance testing).
Experience in writing test cases, checklists, and test plans based on functional and non-functional requirements.
Familiarity with Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban) and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define testing needs and priorities.
Great troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to efficiently identify, reproduce, and report bugs.
Experience in tracking and managing test progress and defect life cycles using test management tools (e.g., Jira).
Knowledge of automation tools like Appium, Selenium WebDriver and Cypress is a plus.
