MENCK is looking for a full-time QHSE Advisor to join our team in Tuas South Avenue, Singapore. In this role, you will ensure compliance with statutory and internal QHSE requirements, lead and promote safety programs, and oversee the development of training materials. You will collaborate with management to meet regulatory standards from relevant authorities and manage the inspection and testing of building equipment to minimize operational disruptions. Duties/Responsibilities Assist the organisation to identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes Conduct Hazard and Risk Assessments to proactively identify areas of opportunity and develop and implement actions to eliminate or mitigate the hazards and risks within the organisation Deliver QHSE inductions, toolbox talks, and relevant training sessions. Lead the investigation of workplace injuries, ensuring root cause analysis, accurate reporting, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence. Development, implementation, and maintenance of QHSE management systems (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Lead QHSE programmes across the organisation, including internal audits, safety campaigns, and monthly safety committee meetings, serving as the committee secretary to ensure effective coordination and documentation. Manage contractor safety requirements by assessing and approving permit-to-work systems where applicable, ensuring their safe working practices align with organisational standards. Lead the investigation and resolution of observations and non-conformances reported by employees, or customers, ensuring timely corrective actions and continuous improvement. Demonstrate an excellent environmental and safety behaviour and attitude, follow regulatory practices and rules, recognise and promote hazard and risk reporting Maintain records of internal QHSE audits, risk management system and non-conformances prevention & correction/ compliance Initiate and maintain comprehensive accident, emergency response and injury management programs Ensure that the organisation is duly diligent in the administration of QHSE programs and employees are properly trained and supervised to perform their duty Provide leadership and motivate all employees for injury prevention and timely reporting Regular monitoring and review the effectiveness of workplace QHSE management system implementation Liaise with authorities, vendors, contractors to ensure all building services works safely and in compliance to relevant regulatory requirement. Assist the building fire safety manager in conduct tabletop exercise and fire drills Prepare and execute the Emergency Response Plan for the premises and distribute and educate the Emergency Response Plan to the occupants of the premises Undertake other duties as assigned by the Head of Department within the scope of capacity. Requirements Relevant degree/diploma in workplace safety and health and quality management Recognised qualification in Quality Management (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, IRCA-certified, or equivalent) Registered Safety Officer with the Ministry of Manpower is advantageous Knowledge and certified Internal Auditor in ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 Proven experience in a QHSE advisory role Strong knowledge of QHSE regulations and standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficient in using QHSE management software and tools Self-motivated team player Good communication skills Good competency with using Microsoft applications (e.g. Teams, SharePoint, Words, Excel, etc) Singapore citizens or permanent residents (PR) in Singapore are encouraged to apply #J-18808-Ljbffr
