Lead Securities Settlement Operations

Experienced professionals are sought to drive Securities Settlement Operations forward.

Job Description

  • Evaluate and enhance control processes for front-to-back operations, identifying areas of improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes, developing optimization strategies for Target Operating Models, BRDs, User Stories, and Test Cases.
  • Stay up-to-date on process and operational advancements, automating and modernizing systems where possible.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Securities Settlement Processes across multiple products (Equities, Fixed Income, SBL, and Prime) and markets (US, Europe, UK, APAC, and Latam).
  • Experience working across multiple disciplines within finance or related industries.
  • Delivered process improvements and controls enhancements.
  • Knowledge of Operations businesses/functions in an Investment Banking environment is beneficial.
  • Experience in Data Analysis and data tracing through multiple systems front-to-back would be highly beneficial.
  • Leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) projects, overseeing the development and implementation of the UAT test plan, scripts, and tools using detailed functional requirements documents.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, clearly documenting findings and proposing solutions.
  • Inquisitive mindset and willingness to work outside comfort zones.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain problems, capture team inputs, and work towards resolution.
  • Leadership skills, including leading wider teams to prove the effectiveness of processes or controls.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and have great attention to detail, taking ownership of various parts of a project or initiative.
  • Excel, PowerPoint, and process mapping skillsets are essential.
