AsiaOne was founded in 1995 and is one of Singapore's earliest digital media sites with a focus on social news and trending topics in Singapore, Malaysia and the region. The platform serves over 5 million online users a month, resonating strongly with youths and young adults (18–44) across the region.

AsiaOne prides itself on delivering content from a unique perspective. Rather than settling on conventional reporting, we deliver news and information with an Off Centre, On Trend approach, backed by rigorous editorial standards.

Role

  • We are seeking a Video Producer for our Video team, who is highly passionate about creating content that speaks to youths and young adults.
  • You are well-versed in the digital and pop culture landscape with extensive knowledge of digital video and social media platforms.
  • You bring strong and fresh ideas to the table and can execute them in a timely manner and within budget.
  • You will be responsible for all areas of video production and you are comfortable leading a team through all stages of production. You will work collaboratively with other producers, videographers and editors, as well as other teams across AsiaOne.
  • You are someone who keeps up with the latest news and trends, and are required to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and good interpersonal skills to build a network of contacts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and produce compelling, unique, bold and quirky videos.
  • Develop and pitch videos regularly.
  • Manage all aspects of shoots including pre-production, production and post-production.
  • Be data-driven and be sensitive to audience behaviour and interests in tailoring content to complement AsiaOne as a whole.
  • Produce multi-media multi-platform content packages.
  • Ensure all videos align with AsiaOne's brand standards, guidelines and style.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years work experience in video production is preferred, but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Familiarity with DSLR/mirrorless cameras.
  • Proficient with editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop).
  • Resourceful, creative, able to work independently or as an integral part of a team.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced digital environment.
  • Understands analytics.
  • Social-media savvy and plugged into the latest local and regional news cycle.
  • Possess experience in script writing or animation will be advantageous.
  • Diploma / Degree in Filmmaking, Communications or a related field.
