Job Responsibilities:
Assess and underwrite profitable life and health business in line with your underwriting authority, as well as INCOME's risk and underwriting guidelines.
Establish relationships with distribution channels and supporting them in understanding the underwriting guidelines and decisions.
Provide service support and liaison for the sales channels
Provide underwriting assessment support to internal stakeholders for e.g. customer service or claims personnel.
Liaise with reinsurers on complex cases or refer cases to reinsurer if sum at risk exceeds treaty limits
Responsible for conducting case reviews and providing performance/development reports.
Provide training and coaching to junior underwriters.
To be involved in adhoc duties or projects related to underwriting
Requirements:
At least a diploma or degree
A degree in Insurance or Biomedical Science or Life Science would be an added advantage
At least 5 years of experience in life and health underwriting
Experience in high net worth underwriting will be preferred
Good written and verbal communication skills
Team player with good interpersonal skills
Committed, take ownership and results-driven
