Position Overview
Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and adaptable Bilingual Translator & Interpreter (English / Mandarin) to support cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, bilingual business environment. This role involves real-time translation and transcription during meetings, minute taking, translating and reviewing legal, corporate, and operational documents.
Key responsibilities
Provide real-time interpretation between English and Mandarin during internal and external meetings.
Accurately transcribe meeting discussions and take clear, structured minutes in both English and Mandarin.
Translate business documents including contracts, agreements, legal documentation, and internal communications.
Ensure that all translations are contextually accurate and culturally appropriate.
Review and proofread translated materials for grammar, terminology, tone, and accuracy.
Work closely with legal and commercial teams to ensure clarity in all bilingual communications.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Support ad hoc translation and interpretation tasks as required.
Travel as needed for business meetings or assignments.
Job requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a corporate or legal environment.
Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin.
Prior experience in contract/legal document translation is a strong advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interpret with cultural sensitivity and clarity.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Willingness to travel for business when required.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
