Overview
You will be responsible for providing personalized, specialised, and cost-effective care to patients in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and standards of nursing care and practices.
Job Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess patients’ needs upon admission and throughout their hospital stay
Plan and implement care based on assessed needs
Evaluate and monitor patients’ progress according to care plans
Document care provided and monitor outcomes using established charts and forms
Deliver safe and competent nursing care
Participate actively in physicians’ rounds
Carry out treatments and investigations as prescribed by physicians
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers for smooth patient care
Communicate patient progress and responses to treatment with the healthcare team
Provide patients and families with information on disease prevention, health education, and rehabilitation
Ensure continuity of care through follow-ups
Display compassion and a positive, caring attitude towards patients
Use and care for equipment properly
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Secondary Responsibilities:
Supervise and guide nursing students, new staff, and junior staff
Participate in clinical and service quality activities
Stay updated with current nursing practices
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by Nursing Management
Requirements
Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
At least 2 years of experience in an acute setting
Diploma or Degree in Nursing from recognized institutions approved by SNB
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Compassionate, positive, and caring nature
Strong clinical skills and knowledge
Willing to work on 3 rotating shifts
