Math Tutor (IB, A-Level, O-Level) Beauty World Centre #03-27A eipimath.com Job Posting: Math Specialist Tutor Location: Beauty World Centre #03-27A Pay: $100 - $400 per hour based on student count Our centre specialises in Math for the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. We are looking to connect with experienced IB professionals, to grow this brand to become a premium choice for discerning IB students. Role Overview: This is a group tuition role where you will be tutoring 2 to 12 students per group, all from the same academic level and stream. These students may come from different schools, such as ACSI, SJI, and HCIS, hence the need for strong classroom management skills. The tutor will need to adapt the core teaching materials based on specific topics, test dates, and student progress. Key Responsibilities: Tailor Lesson Plans: Utilize a core set of teaching materials, adjusting based on test dates, topics, and the specific needs of students in each group. Quarterly Feedback: Provide written feedback every quarter to students and parents using a standard template, incorporating student performance data. Phone Calls: On a case–by–case basis, make phone calls to students and parents for follow-up, but this will be kept to a minimum. Classroom Management: Ensure a productive and respectful classroom environment, particularly when managing students from different schools. Technology Use: Use a digital tablet for teaching, conduct hybrid lessons with both in-person and online students, and operate classroom tech (e.g. laptop, printer, student tablets). Classroom Maintenance: Maintain the tidiness and organization of the shared classroom space and ensure the room is presentable for the next tutor. While weekly cleaning is outsourced, the tutor must enforce reasonable rules regarding food and drink in the classroom. Safety & Security: Operate the digital lock system to unlock and lock the classroom at the start and end of each lesson. Experience & Skills: Prior group tuition experience is a plus but not required. We provide comprehensive training in classroom management. This role is also ideal for one-to-one tutors who are looking to transition into group tuition. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of students. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of each group and ensure understanding for all students. Training Provided: Using a digital tablet for teaching (no whiteboard). Conducting hybrid lessons for both in-person and online students. Operating classroom tech, including video recording equipment to record each lesson.
