Manager/ Senior Manager, Valuations

You will be joining the Valuation team in Mumbai as a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate or AVP at Cerberus, a global leader in alternative investing. Your main responsibilities will include performing valuation services across various structured products such as Private Equity, Private Credit, CRE Debt, CRE Equity, and NPLs. You should be able to work effectively under pressure in a team environment and demonstrate the capability to develop innovative and efficient solutions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to enhance their career in financial analytics and valuations within a dynamic and fast-paced setting.Your key responsibilities will include:Valuation Analysis:- Assisting in the preparation of valuations for a diverse range of assets, including businesses, financial securities, and real estate.- Conducting financial analysis using methods like discounted cash flow (DCF), market multiples, and precedent transaction methods to value companies and assets.- Analyzing financial statements, market data, industry trends, and economic factors to support valuation reports.Report Preparation:- Contributing to the preparation of valuation reports and presentations for valuation committees, ensuring accuracy and clarity of findings.- Presenting Valuation results and pricing methodology changes to senior management and internal Valuation Committees for approval.- Drafting clear, concise, and well-organized valuation reports adhering to audit and regulatory standards.Market Research:- Regularly conducting market and industry research to support pricing analysis using available tools and subscription services like Bloomberg, dealer pricing analysis, BWICs, and Capital IQ.- Monitoring market trends and developments that may impact investment values.Data Management and Documentation:- Organizing and maintaining valuation models, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to valuation processes.Process Improvement:- Contributing to the enhancement of valuation methodologies and internal processes.- Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve process efficiency, and enhance database management.Key Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.- 4-9 years of valuation experience with private investments.- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA, and Python, including financial modeling and data analysis.- Knowledge of valuation tools and techniques such as cash flow modeling and related assumptions.- Familiarity with financial statement analysis, corporate finance concepts, and accounting principles.- Ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.- Strong problem-solving capabilities and logical thinking.- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and present results to senior management.- Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.- Team player with a collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.,
