Job Title: Deputy / Technical Superintendent

Job Description:

A highly skilled and experienced Technical Superintendent is required to manage the technical operations of assigned vessels, ensuring safe and efficient operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in marine engineering and management, with excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of vessels, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Develop and implement technical strategies to improve vessel performance and reduce operational costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless vessel operations and resolve any technical issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on vessel performance, including fuel consumption, engine performance, and other relevant metrics.
  • Conduct regular inspections of vessels to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with a shipping company.
  • Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
