We're seeking a passionate individual to join our Head Office on a full-time basis. Ideally, you should be someone who understands our brand and embodies our values. We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Interior Design Manager to lead our design team and oversee the successful execution of interior design projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong design aesthetic, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to effectively lead and inspire a team. You will be responsible for developing design concepts, managing budgets, coordinating with clients and contractors, and ensuring the highest quality of work.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a cohesive design vision for all projects.
Create innovative and functional interior design concepts that meet client needs and project objectives.
Stay abreast of current design trends and industry best practices.
Project Management:
Oversee all phases of the design process, from concept development to installation.
Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Monitor project progress and ensure quality control.
Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of interior designers and support staff.
Assign tasks, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Participate in hiring and onboarding new design staff.
Client Communication & Relations:
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Conduct client consultations to understand their needs and preferences.
Present design concepts and proposals effectively.
Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction.
Technical & Administrative Tasks:
Develop and maintain furniture and finish standards.
Review construction drawings and specifications.
Manage budgets and procurement processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in high-end residential or commercial interior design.
Proven portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects.
Proficiency in design software (E.g. AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
In-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations.
Experienced in budgeting and procurement skills.
