Overview
The ideal candidate would have 3-5 years of experience in a corporate credit analysis role and would come from a financial services background (banking, asset-backed lending, rating agency). This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical skills and the ability to work under pressure. The candidate must have excellent communication skills for meetings and discussions with senior management of our clients/prospects in Singapore (and occasionally other ASEAN countries).
Responsibilities
Decide credit limit requests consistently, within the response time included in Risk Business Model, by assessing buyers with all information available in the Allianz Trade Risk database and market knowledge
Monitor the risk portfolio by requesting additional information to Risk office, according to Information Quality Standards
Be responsible for a dedicated portfolio of customers, steer it and provide a proactive service level, according to policyholder classification by regularly meeting customers and brokers, and organizing telephone conferences
Support Commercial Department in steering customers loss ratio and implement actions to ensure or restore profitability of a portfolio
Perform any other ad hoc task as assigned
Requirements
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a financial institution or rating agency as a financial/credit analyst
Strong analytical skills
Excellent knowledge of the local economic and business environment
Expertise in specific trade sectors
Ability to interact with senior managers externally to obtain information
Ability to network and forge relationships quickly in a multicultural environment
Self-starter / Able to work independently
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
