Overview
Our client is a leading player in the manufacturing sector with a strong global footprint and a stable, high-performing HQ environment. As part of ongoing business growth, they are seeking a mid-level Legal Counsel to join their established and collegial legal team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including contract review, negotiation, and drafting.
Support cross-functional teams on legal issues related to commercial transactions, joint ventures, partnerships, and procurement.
Advise on corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters.
Provide support on data protection and privacy matters, including reviewing internal policies and advising business units on compliance with relevant data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, PDPA).
Liaise with external counsel where necessary and manage legal risks effectively.
Assist in legal training and the development of internal policies and templates.
Support legal aspects of operational matters, including manufacturing and supply chain arrangements.
Requirements
Qualified lawyer with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team.
Solid experience in corporate practice and/or data privacy matters is highly regarded.
Prior experience in or exposure to the manufacturing or industrial sector is a plus but not essential.
Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
