About the role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Cook in western cuisine to join our dynamic kitchen located in the East Region. As our western cook, you will play a crucial role in the execution of our culinary vision, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
What you'll be doing
Overseeing the preparation and cooking of a specific station or section of the kitchen, such as sauces, pastries, or hot and cold food
Ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency and presentation
Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop and refine menu items, incorporate new techniques and introduce seasonal ingredients
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient work environment in your assigned station
Providing guidance and support to junior members of the kitchen team
Adhering to all health, safety and food hygiene regulations
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years' experience in western culinary or equivalent role in a reputable restaurant or hotel kitchen
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and plating
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
Passion for creating innovative and visually appealing dishes
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure
Pro-active team members which can
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Food safety and hygiene certification
Experience in Asian cuisine is a plus point
