Overview

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to maintain, inspect, and repair marine firefighting systems and equipment on board vessels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair marine firefighting systems and equipment including fire alarms, suppression systems, and fire extinguishers
  • Perform annual inspections and testing to ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with firefighting equipment and systems
  • Ensure compliance with International maritime regulations and standards (e.g. SOLAS, IMO)
  • Collaborate with vessel crews and ship staff to ensure effective maintenance and operation of firefighting systems
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in maintaining firefighting systems and equipment, preferably in the marine industry
  • Knowledge of international maritime regulations and standards
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced marine environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Certification

  • Certification in marine firefighting system maintenance or a related field is an advantage

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 9:00AM – 6:00PM; Saturday: 9:00AM – 1:00PM

Pay

$2,800 - $4,000 a month

Location

Location: Marine vessel assignment/various shifts as required
